Sometimes it’s nice to take a little break from my usual menu of lighthouses or seascapes or abandoned mills, and shoot something more simple. This is nothing more than a little red house on Monhegan Island in Maine, but there was just something so quaint and inviting about it, that I had to take it’s picture.

Well done. Love the framing.
Excellent use of the fence that brings the eye to that great red home Steven.
Great use of the fence as the leading-line. The rose overhanging the fence seems to say “this is the point to turn your eye left and admire the building”!
The same Red colour that is favoured by so many of the lighthouses. This looks a fabulous house, beautifully positioned.
I love looking at your photos……….
Thanks so much.
That is a terrific house. Love the white picket fence.
