Down at the Docks

I know.  I know.  These shots are a bit gimmicky, but for some reason lately I’ve been enjoying using the tilt-shift effect to achieve this “miniature” look.  Only certain images will really work with this treatment, and I’ve been going through the archives to find some images that could possibly work.  This shot is from Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, ME.   I’ve taken hundreds and hundreds of shots of this iconic fishing harbor, and wanted to try one of them processed like this.  This is probably just a phase brought on by the drab and lifeless winter we’ve had so far this year, and I guess we’ll have to wait and see if more of these images make it onto the blog in the future.

Camera settings: ISO 200, f/13, 18mm, 3 seconds
