Distant Exit

Today’s post comes from the Stone Mill in Lawrence, MA, which I posted about a little while ago here.  Any of you who have seen the brilliant work of Bob Lussier are certainly familiar with the Stone Mill through his incredible captures of this historical mill.  While I’ve captured some images of its exterior several times, I’ve only managed to shoot the inside of it once, and I certainly hope to revisit it in the future.  This shot was taken on one of the upper floors looking across the vast, empty space.  I originally had this as a full frame shot, but decided to give it a widescreen crop instead to eliminate some of the dead space at the top and bottom of the frame.

Hope you have a great weekend.

  1. I like the letterbox approach to this. The full height orange pole really adds hugely to the success of this, I think. That offset line of colour adds a dynamic to the image. Clever work.
